Historical Features and Activities of Konya:

Konya is one of the important cultural and historical centers of Turkey. It was the capital during the Anatolian Seljuk Sultanate and has been the center of education, culture and art throughout its history. One of the most iconic symbols of Konya is the tomb and museum of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi. Mevlana Museum offers detailed information about the life, works and thoughts of Mevlana, the center of Islamic Sufism and the Mevlevi Order. In addition, Alaaddin Mosque and Konya Castle on Alaaddin Hill are also prominent historical buildings. Konya offers a rich cultural experience with its traditional handicrafts and local cuisine.

Historical Features and Activities of Cappadocia:

Cappadocia is world famous for its unique geological formations, prehistoric underground cities and fairy chimneys. The geological structure of the region has been shaped by the natural erosion of soft volcanic ash and tuff deposits over millions of years, creating a surreal landscape. Cappadocia is famous for its underground cities such as Derinkuyu and Kaymaklı, fairy chimneys, historical monasteries and churches in its districts such as Göreme and Ürgüp. Göreme Open Air Museum is an important archaeological site showcasing early Christian monastic life and art in Cappadocia. Hot air balloon tours are also extremely popular, offering breathtaking aerial views of the region’s spectacular landscapes.

Itinerary

Kaleiçi head Office departure time. Departure times vary depending on your hotel or location. Contact our agency and determine the meeting time for your location. On the way to Seydisehir we have break at the Akseki location for breakfast. In Konya we will visit Mevlana Museum, lunch break is given in follow.
After lunch we will move to Cappadocia region.
We will visit a Karavansaray after continued the road.
Arrival to the Cappadocia region. Visit of Kirkgoz underground city and then move to the hotel. Accommodation is in a four star hotel in Urgup.
We will leave the hotel the next day after breakfast and we will visit the Devren valley, Pasabag valley, Goreme valley and photo stops in different places, Uchisar Castle and Guvercinlik valley after lunch break.
Lunch break.
After visit the Cavusin village, Kaya houses and Kaya church, Onyx handcraft workshop. Information about Asiklar valley. Last we take time in a Turkish hand - carpet workshop.
Arrival at the hotel and dinner. Cappadocia night Semah show.
Move to Avanos town, Kızılırmak river and photo stop. After the visit we take time in a pottery workshop, after we see the Three Beautiful Girls Fairy Chimneys.
Lunch in the Konya region.
Arrival in Antalya.

Frequently asked questions

Your tour will conclude in San Francisco on Day 8 of the trip. There are no activities planned for this day so you're free to depart at any time. We highly recommend booking post-accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city!

Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and explore Los Angeles. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting at 7pm, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.

Airport transfers are not included in the price of this tour, however you can book for an arrival transfer in advance. In this case a tour operator representative will be at the airport to greet you. To arrange this please contact our customer service team once you have a confirmed booking.
